This is the second half of a one-way journey
Makruzz’s Baratang service isn’t a shuttle. The same vessel arrives from Port Blair at 7:45 AM, sits through the morning, then leaves for Havelock at midday. There is no Baratang → Port Blair sailing and none to Neil Island.
So most people on the 12:00 PM boat arrived that morning on the Port Blair to Baratang ferry. The pair forms a single northbound day: Port Blair at dawn, four hours on Baratang, Havelock by early afternoon.
You can book this leg on its own — useful if you reached Baratang by road and would rather not repeat the Andaman Trunk Road convoy going back. But check the sailing exists for your date before committing to that plan; one boat a day leaves no margin.

A 1:30 PM arrival is the useful part. You’re at your Havelock hotel by mid-afternoon with the rest of the day intact — enough for Radhanagar Beach, which is at its best from about 4:30 PM onward for sunset.
Arriving at Havelock Jetty also puts you on the island’s main ferry network, so onward connections to Neil Island or back to Port Blair run the next morning.

Booking and boarding
Book ahead — a single daily sailing on a single-class vessel is thin inventory, and it’s the only way off Baratang by sea. Two to three weeks is sensible, three to four over Christmas and New Year.
At the jetty, the usual Andaman rules apply: arrive 45–60 minutes early, carry a printed ticket (screenshots are refused) and original photo ID, and keep to the 25 kg Makruzz luggage allowance with valuables in your cabin bag. Foreign nationals need passport plus the Restricted Area Permit.
